We are excited to announce the opening of Stepping Stone Recovery – Sober Living for men in Texas City, Texas. Stepping Stone Recovery was established by Gregory K. Beatty, MS, LCDC and Kimberly L. Beatty, LCSW-S. Gregory has been in recovery for over 33 years, and serves as a counselor at Positive Recovery. Kimberly has been in recovery for over 25 years, and serves as the Executive Director of ADA Women's Center. Collectively, our vision is to ensure that anyone pursuing recovery has supportive housing available. Our philosophy is grounded in principles of recovery, including community support, structure, personal responsibility, and accountability. We maintain an inclusive approach, welcoming individuals pursuing recovery in a broad range of mutual aid fellowships (e.g., Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, SMART Recovery, Celebrate Recovery, Refuge Recovery).

Stepping Stone Recovery Sober Living is a 4 bedroom/2 bathroom home located in the heart of Texas City. To maintain an intimate environment, occupancy is limited to 6 residents. Bedroom occupancy is limited to 2 residents per room and bunk-beds are not utilized. All appliances are modern, including laundry facilities. The home is conveniently located near any number of small to large businesses, presenting ample employment opportunities. We welcome residents with medical and/or mental health conditions which are effectively treated with medications.

 Stepping Stone Recovery Sober Living is committed to facilitating access to supportive housing for individuals actively pursuing recovery. We understand that affordability and funding constraints can prove challenging for individuals in early recovery. As such, we will continue to do everything we are able, in order to ensure that residency in the home remains as affordable as is possible. In cooperation with benefactors in the broader recovery community, we are pleased to oversee a funding program, which can occasionally present opportunities for residency that may not be available, otherwise.
